I was using Wordpress before and the site was all AmigaOS 1.3 blue, but the styles were too complex to browse with my collection of old computers, so I learned how to use Eleventy/11ty to do the static site generation for me. At first I went back to using GoLive on my Powermac MDD Dual G4, which has an amazing components engine for headers and footers, but my main desk already had modern computers on it, so I went with a retro-outputs but modern usage solution. It was easy to install via Brew on my Mac Mini, or basic packages of my linux laptop, so it worked out fine. I can easily transport the whole site's content on a flash drive or backed up to NAS, which is just much more convenient than if I used my old GoLive CS solution. Anyway that's enough about that!
