There was a new release of the word processor Final Writer 7.3 for Amiga 3.1+. Older word processors are so much fun to use. They're not all bloated with features you simply don't want or need. The UIs tend to be simpler so motor memory is easier to build too.

I got it running under Amikit X13. There were several dependencies I had to install first. They modernized things in the app so much that there's now Amiga OS version that can natively support it and they don't bundle the deps. Lots of trips to Aminet.
I don't know if the font selection menu toolbar is working right. The big font panel shows all fonts, but the GUI based button that opens a list only shows the historically selected items from the bigger list. I've asked the dev if that's a bug or normal behaviour. I don't remember how FW used to behave in the past haha.
The deps I had to get were:
Amikit had other deps already met, but for a native Amiga OS install, a user would need to also install:
FW 7.3 at least came with a Ghostscript solution with installer to export to PDF. I need to test it still.
I have my Amikit setup to run at 1080p so the original UI meant for 640x480 type resolutions is pretty squinty! I'll need to check if there are high dpi options but with a monitor up close it's not so bad. The main focus is the writing anyway, right?
